Closed platform – Lock away valuables under solid metal, with the two strong but lightweight deck doors. Quickly and easily keep your goods stowed out of sight and out of the elements thanks to our weatherproof rubber seals

T-track accessory rails – When closed the tough metal deck doors of TOUGHCAGE can support 100kg for quick loading of pallets, bikes and awkwardly shaped items along with easily adjustable T-tracks to match your compatible accessories

Deck doors – Open up one deck door and you can keep cargo on the other side. Access is easy with the ability to keep a partial load (like your mountain bike) on one deck door while opening the other to access tools, picnic basket or a jacket

The deck doors lock out of the way, the roll bar hinges upright and the rear cargo gate swings into place to make it into a contained space. The top remains wide open for freedom to accommodate oversized items

USES
TOUGHCAGE was first built for a holiday trip in an old bakkie. The idea was to put suitcases, luggage and groceries beneath a secure and weatherproof cover and then load bikes on the top. The idea worked, and the best part was as being able to reach in and get to the food during the trip without offloading the bikes

Your hours of pruning trees will only take one trip to the local depot for disposal as you can pile them up high with the deck doors open
Fill the back with all your paint, silicon, brushes, sandpaper and tools. Lock it all away safely under the deck doors when you stop for coffee on your way home
Long copper pipes and your extra length ladder rest safely on the crossbar racks that form part of the modular design, while all your other kit can fill the cargo bed
Open the deck doors and load up all your bags, boxes and piles of used goods for a trip to the recycling centre, closing the cage gate to keep it from escaping

Groceries are locked safely under the metal deck doors but if you quickly need to collect your mountain bike from a friend, you can easily strap it onto one of the deck doors
Transporting animals safely in the back is easily possible with the full TOUGHCAGE mode, with steel on all sides to keep them well protected. The rear swivel cargo gate swings into place and latches securely with a double spring loaded mechanism

HOW TO
OPEN TOUGHCAGE
To open up, simply use one of the keys supplied and insert it into the lock mechanism. Turn the key, press down on the pop-up handle and then twist until the hidden safety latch is free
Lift the deck door that you've just unlocked, then lift open the other side. Both sides have high pressure gas struts to make opening easy and light.
SIDE GUARD MODE
The deck panels will rest at an angle to match the profile of the roll bar when they open at first. To create the proper side guards simply undo the latch on the roll bar by sliding it up and then pulling it down.
The roll bar will open out gently on gas struts to let the deck panels align to the correct position, where they are now both upright and in position as the side guards
CAGE gate
Secure the cargo area by closing the cage door that is stowed on the one deck panel. Release the door using the latch located on the opposite side to the door. After you've released it from the stowed position, pull it to close
The door can also be opened outward for loading of large items - please remember to open it out before cargo blocks the door from being released from the stowed position beneath the deck doors

The addition of the two crossbars is quick and easy. Simply align the bars with slots in the deck doors, then insert the attached mounting fasteners. Twist them in by hand until they are tight and repeat for all mounting points
